STUDENTS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

We wanted to take the opportunity to highlight one of our partners and give you a creative way that you can help the people of Burkina Faso. Clean water, education for children, and opportunities for women are huge needs. One Student Pastor has given us a great idea on how to make a difference.

Grain of Hope was founded by Pastor Chris Coakley just a few years ago. In a short amount of time the students from his youth group, and other groups he recruited have raised thousands of dollars. Chris has put together an incredible, immersive event that can be used by Church youth groups or businesses and, if you do it right, people from your community as well. Activities from this event give you the feel of what it would be like to carry water, or make ‘toh’, a dietary staple in the bush of Burkina. Funds that groups have raised and sent to Grain of Hope have provided tons of grain for the people of Burkina. Through our partnership they have received clean water as well.
