The Kids At The Door

At Engage Burkina, we have been privileged to provide over 700 wells in communities all over Burkina Faso. We are grateful for the health and quality of life that having clean water supplies. Water is Life! Now we are taking a new step in being more intentional with providing resources for education to children in areas where we serve.

We know that education breaks the cycle of poverty, and leads to the most significant opportunity for a family to have the tools they need to succeed. There is a financial cost to send a child to a government school. Because of that, families are forced to choose between food and education, some can afford to send only one child in the family, and the pressure is on them to be the future provider.

We are specifically providing education funds to kids who are not eligible for sponsorship programs through other great organizations, yet have the same needs. These are kids on the outside looking in.

Funds will be distributed through local Pastors who receive and assess the needs in their local congregations. We cannot provide updates on individual children, but only on the work in these communities as a whole.
